HARRISBURG, Penn.–The Pennsylvania Credit Union Foundation (the Foundation) has announced the appointment of Wendy Kingsland, CEO of Visionary FCU in Bridgeville, and William Wehr, CEO of R-S Bellco FCU in New Brighton, to its board of directors by the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association.
For nearly 25 years, Wendy Kingsland has been active in the credit union movement. Since 2011, Kingsland has served as the CEO of Visionary FCU in Bridgeville. During her tenure, she has successfully led the credit union management team to implement product changes and membership enhancements resulting in both credit union and lending growth of 12% for the past two years. Further, she has moved the credit union through multiple complex challenges enabling it to become a growing, profitable financial institution.
Kingsland is active in the Pittsburgh Chapter of Credit Unions, serving as a board member since 1991, and serving as the Secretary since 2009. During 2006-2008, she served as Chapter President. She currently serves as a director of the Association. She is also the Secretary of the Board of Directors for Pittsburgh Central FCU, and serves as Vice President of South West Communities Chamber of Commerce. She was also on UES Community FCU’s Board of Directors from 2000-2005. In 1991, she was the Credit Union Youth Ambassador of Pennsylvania, winning the state competition representing the Pittsburgh Chapter.
Since 2008, William Wehr has served as the CEO of R-S Bellco FCU in New Brighton. He also volunteered in support of his wife, Marilyn, who recently retired as the long-time Director of First Choice FCU.
In 2012, Wehr was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Association. He also serves as a board member of the Beaver Valley Chapter of Credit Unions. Wehr holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio State University, Columbus, OH.
