2 Dakotas CUs Recognized for Marketing

BISMARCK, N.D./SIOUX FALLS, S.D.–The Dakota Credit Union Association (DakCUhas named the winners of its marketing awards program:

The winners include:

  • $26 million to $125 million in Assets: Sioux Empire Federal Credit Union, Sioux Falls, S.D. for its “March Bracket Breaker” loan promotion. The comprehensive goal of this campaign was to increase auto loans during the 2019 March Madness Basketball Tournament, more directly the area Summit League Basketball Tournament. The rate structures for the promotion depended on the outcome of local teams winning to secure a lower rate.

“The plan was so successful that the promotion soared past the original goals.  By creatively tying credit union products with community rooted events, Sioux Empire FCU was able to reach a large audience at a bare minimum per loan cost by primarily using social media for advertising,” the association said.

  • Over $126 Million in Assets: Town & Country Credit Union, Minot, N.D. was recognized for its revamped “Annual Impact Report.” The newly designed piece was to tell a compelling story to shape the narrative around who Town & Country is, and to give employees and members a touch point they could build upon when explaining what makes this credit union special. “Not only has the report been good for employee morale, as a result 42% of this credit union’s new members are being referred to the credit union by current Town & Country members,” the association said.
