PLEASANTON, Calif.–As part of its online food drive, 1st United Credit Union’s members, staff, and community donated more than $12,000, with the CU matched for a combined $25,000 donation to the Alameda County Community Food Bank.
In an effort to keep everyone safe, 1st United said it moved its food drive online rather than collecting food in branches. The added benefit to this is that every dollar collected equates to $7 of healthy food due to the Food Bank’s bulk purchasing power, 1st United said.
