PLEASANTON, Calif.– 1st United Credit Union wrapped up its annual school supply and backpack drive in support of Alternative Family Services and the Alameda County Family Justice Center with enough supplies for 471 students, surpassing their goal of 300.
Jennifer Harper, director Development & Marketing for Alternative Family Services commented, “We appreciate 1st United’s ongoing participation in our Wish Upon a Backpack Drive. Their support has been amazing and we are always grateful.”
“We thank 1st United Credit Union for its warmth and generosity in providing school supplies to hundreds of students in need,” added Nancy O’Malley, Alameda County District Attorney and founder of the Alameda County Family Justice Center. “Their donation allows the children and families we serve at the Family Justice Center to begin the new academic year on a strong and healthy footing.”
