GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.–Xtend, Inc. announced the successful launch of its first set of mobile coupon apps along with its partners at Colorado-based Relevant Solutions. According to Xtend President Scott Collins, both MidUSA Credit Union in Middletown, Ohio and Frankenmuth Credit Union in Michigan successfully launched their coupon apps in the past 60 days.
“We are excited that both partners, MidUSA and Frankenmuth, signed up to be early adopters of the coupon app that Relevant and Xtend have brought to the cuasterisk.com credit union network,” said Collins. “Both credit unions have a history of being quick to market with new solutions, so when we announced our partnership with Relevant Solutions and demonstrated a creative new product for their mobile retailing strategy, each was eager to get started. In just a short timeframe members were downloading the shopping apps from the app stores and saving money locally.”
Collins also noted that each credit union took advantage of custom branding to help ensure their app had a “local flavor.”
According to Collins, another half dozen launches in the pipeline, and that the CUSO hoped to have more than two dozen deployments by the end of summer.
Separately, Xtend announced that the portfolio of its loan servicing business unit expanded by 11.3% during the past 12 months. The portfolio of predominantly first mortgage loans is spread across more than two dozen credit unions in nine states.
“The fact that we provide servicing for more than two dozen credit unions is a testament to our partners at CU*Answers,” said Xtend President Scott Collins. “Their Lender VP Team has worked hard to help ensure their CU*BASE® core data processing credit unions have the tools they need to service loans effectively. When those credit unions want back office specialists to help with the ongoing servicing tasks, CU*Answers taps our Xtend team on the shoulder to perform those tasks for our joint clients.”
The daily loan servicing tasks are executed by Xtend’s SRS (Shared Resources and Staff) Bookkeeping Services business unit, a group of specialists that provides various back office services for more than one hundred credit unions in 20 states.
