Two Credit Unions Select Fiserv Solutions

BROOKFIELD, Wis.—Two credit unions have chosen Fiserv solutions.

The $1.2-billion Credit Union of Southern California, (CU SoCal) in Anaheim, has selected the Architect digital banking platform from Fiserv. Architect will enable CU SoCal to deliver a unified digital banking experience, meeting the needs of today’s connected consumers and facilitating the growth plans of the credit union, the company said.

“The real-time integration of Architect into the credit union’s core account processing platform and the fact that Architect is a hosted solution that does not require extensive onsite support were also key factors in the selection,” Fiserv said.

Architect enables online, mobile, and tablet banking on a single platform, according to the company.

“This facilitates a seamless user experience across channels because information such as transaction history and capabilities such as bill payment are consistent,” Fiserv said. “The credit union’s existing CheckFree RXP electronic bill payment and Popmoney personal payment solutions from Fiserv will integrate directly into Architect. In addition, the tight integration of Architect into the credit union’s core processing platform will improve work process efficiency and communication to members.

“As a rapidly growing credit union, we are continually looking for ways to improve Member convenience and service efficiency,” said David Hanighen, CIO/CISO, Credit Union of Southern California, in a statement. “Offering disparate online and mobile banking channels no longer fulfilled the evolving eServices needs of our members…Architect met our key requirements and offered strong marketing and support tools as well as an active user community for collaboration and education. We felt that Architect offered the best middle-tier solution available in the financial services market and we are excited to offer a new and more comprehensive solution to support the sophisticated needs of our growing membership.”

“Credit Union of Southern California wanted a flexible solution that can grow with them,” said Kevin Schultz, president, Digital Banking, Fiserv, in a statement. “In a world in which more financial interactions are taking place online or via mobile devices, Architect will allow CU SoCal to deliver a robust digital banking and payments experience that aligns with the way people live and work today.”

Because Architect is a hosted solution, CU SoCal will have the benefit of managed hardware, software and disaster recovery services from an industry leading partner, Fiserv said.

Seperately, in Clute, Texas,  the $40-million Brazosport Teachers Federal Credit Union, has selected Fiserv’s Portico core account processing platform with integrated digital and mobile banking solutions from Fiserv.

“Our credit union is celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2017. As we prepared for this milestone we thoroughly evaluated the capacity of our current technology to deliver the level of service our members will expect moving forward,” said Donna Butterfras, CEO, Brazosport Teachers Federal Credit Union, in a statement. “Based on our review of multiple technology providers, Fiserv showed the greatest level of innovation and demonstrated expertise with a hosted technology model. Moving to Fiserv will allow us to streamline our technology management and provide new services for our members.”

Fiserv said the integrated software-as-a-service (SaaS) suite selected by Brazosport Teachers includes Virtual Branch for online banking with enhanced bill pay, Mobiliti for mobile banking, Mobile Source Capture for mobile deposits, Loancierge for lending automation, Wisdom for accounting and call report management, and solutions for credit and debit processing, statements and web signatures.

“Our technology partnership with Brazosport Teachers will help lay the foundation of an enriched member experience, while providing an efficient operational environment for the credit union,” said Ryon Packer, senior vice president, Products, Credit Union Solutions, Fiserv. “The integrated SaaS Portico suite will support the credit union’s growth strategy and enable the services members need today and in the future.”
