Summit CU Selects Bank Intranets

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn.Bank Intranetsa provider of secure, web-based enterprise content management solutions for financial institutions, announced that Summit Credit Union in Greensboro, N.C. is leveraging its BancWorks employee intranet to modernize internal communication and collaboration and improve the systems and processes that inform how employees work on a day-to-day basis.

Serving approximately 32,000 members, Summit Credit Union sought to update its file-sharing and communications network with a credit union-specific technology that would simplify access to information for its more than 100 employees, the company said. After an internal review process, the credit union choose Banc Intranets’ BancWorks employee portal and has since realized significant growth. “One of the key reasons we continue to partner with Banc Intranets is that they provide an unmatched, in-depth knowledge of financial institutions and the industry-specific issues that often impact overall efficiency,” said Sam Whitehurst, president and CEO of Summit Credit Union.

In addition to eliminating data redundancy and centralizing access to bank policies, documents and procedures, Summit Credit Union says BancWorks’ employee-level customization and administrative controls has been instrumental in streamlining cross-department functions and productivity. Whitehurst continued, “Our employees have responded resoundingly well to BancWorks and they continue to benefit from its functionality and ability to meet our business’ specific needs.”

“Streamlined day-to-day communications are imperative to a credit union’s success in the modern financial services environment, and having information management systems that are up-to-date provide employees with the tools to accomplish their daily tasks,” said Mark Anderson, founder and CEO of Banc Intranets. “By streamlining how internal information is managed and distributed, Summit Credit Union builds upon its valued service and reinforces its commitment to serving the financial needs of its community.”
