PORTSMOUTH, N.H.–Service Credit Union here said it has selected Fiserv’s DNA core processing solution.
The move will enable continued growth through accelerated delivery of digital capabilities for its global member base, the credit union said.
Fiserv noted Service Credit Union has grown exponentially since its founding at Pease Air Force Base, and today serves members all over the world digitally and in retail locations in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, and on military bases in North Dakota and Germany.
Fiserv said the credit union will utilize the DNA core processing platform from Fiserv to accelerate speed to market for new products and services, and continue to find solutions to support member needs, accelerate innovation and expand and enhance services.
“One of the lessons that has been reinforced over the past several months is that, when it comes to technology, we must be nimble in our approach,” said Geoffry Gilton, senior vice president of technology at Service Credit Union. “As we’ve grown, member habits have evolved, as have our technology needs. Our team decided to explore a new core platform to match our strategy, and chose to continue our relationship with Fiserv to expand digital services and continue to effectively serve our members wherever they are.”
‘Modern Core Account’
According to Fiserv, DNA is a modern core account processing platform with an open architecture built for collaboration, making it easier for financial institutions to integrate other technology solutions, bring products and services online quickly, and add new capabilities using downloadable DNAapps. Importantly for institutions like Service Credit Union that have an international presence, DNA offers multi-currency capabilities and a universal loan system that can accommodate consumer, residential and commercial lending accounts using a single enterprise database, Fiserv added.
“Service Credit Union takes a holistic, global approach to member service,” said Sam Boggs, president and general manager of Open Solutions at Fiserv. “With Fiserv, Service Credit Union can access an integrated set of capabilities that will help them meet the specific needs of their members no matter where they are stationed around the world.”
The $4.3-billion Service CU has more than 312,000 members.
