SECU of Maryland Expanding its Partnership With CO-OP Financial Services

LINTHICUM, Md.–SECU of Maryland is expanding its partnership with CO-OP Financial Services to include ATM terminal driving and ATM/debit processing.

In addition to utilizing CO-OP ATM Terminal Driving services, SECU is consolidating from two transaction processors to one for a more efficient operation. Combining ATM and debit processing with Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.-based CO-OP will enable SECU to optimize operations, reduce costs and enhance security, the company said.

“SECU places our members above everything else and we strive to make their experience at the ATM fast and intuitive,” said David Sweiderk, President & CEO of SECU. “We have partnered with CO-OP for many years to provide the most technologically advanced services to our members. We look forward to expanding the partnership to continue to improve our technology and provide additional functionality that enhances services for our members.

“We want our members to be able to conduct business at merchants and online quickly and securely using their debit card, which makes CO-OP the right choice,” added Sweiderk.

SECU currently partners with CO-OP in CO-OP ATM, a nationwide network of 30,000 ATMs offering surcharge-free access to members of participating institutions. The $3.6-billion SECU has approximately 260,000 members.
