CHICAGO–Nearly 30 credit union finance professionals got a healthy dosage of valuable balance sheet management practices from QuantyPhi President Kevin Chiappetta at CUNA’s Investment Certification School in Chicago.
“Helping credit unions understand the workings of investment calculation, structures and measurement is a necessary building block for a sturdy balance sheet,” according to Chiappetta, one of eight financial experts presenting investment management fundamentals at this year’s annual event.
“Credit unions are always looking for best practices, better financial tools, and the means to use those tools wisely,” Chiappetta said. “One of our core missions, as balance sheet optimization experts, is to help credit unions better understand how they can strengthen their financial position to ultimately better serve their members.”
Chiappetta’s two presentations covered key financial principals and characteristics, as well as basic investment structures and cash flows.
