ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.—PSCU has launched a new loyalty program, the Credit Union Give Back Sweepstakes.
The rewards campaign is designed to promote card usage and increase member engagement and loyalty across participating owner credit unions, while also giving back to the communities in which the credit unions operate, PSCU said.
Starting July 27 and running through Dec. 13, cardholders with a credit union rewards points or cash-back card must use their rewards card a minimum of four times per week or participate in the alternate eligibility survey to qualify for regular drawings. Beginning in Sept. 10, credit union members will be randomly selected every other week to win $1,000 to help offset their monthly credit and/or debit card purchases, for a total of 100 sweepstakes winners. During the final drawing in December, 25 credit unions will randomly be selected to receive $4,000 each to donate to a charity of their choice, PSCU said.
“As we navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, we have witnessed the credit union philosophy of ‘people helping people’ in action more than ever,” said Tom Pierce, chief marketing officer at PSCU. “What we saw inspired us to create a new sweepstakes centered around giving back, while also offering our owner credit unions a unique way to strengthen the bond they have with their members. We look forward to this year’s PSCU loyalty sweepstakes and are eager to begin announcing winners in the weeks to come.”
Automatic Enrollment
PSCU added, “All credit unions participating in PSCU’s points and rebate rewards programs are automatically enrolled in the campaign. On average, a credit union sees a 59% lift in interchange on their credit rewards card, with those members transacting 37% more than a traditional credit card and spending 51% more, according to PSCU transaction data.”
