Momentum's Haack Elected to Position; Bengeult Named as Advisor to University

SEATTLE--Jim Haack, president and cofounder of Momentum, a national plan-design-build firm, has been elected a supervisor of the King Conservation District. He brings a considerable amount of entrepreneurial and farming experience to the Board of Supervisors.

The King Conservation District provides resources and support to teach farmers and homeowners about the sustainable use of natural resources and good stewardship of the land. It is a non-regulatory state agency that has been engaging the community in conservation and sustainable farming for over six decades.

“KCD exemplifies conservation excellence, professionalism, and the one-on-one application of best practice. As a past cooperator, I was empowered to understand and better steward my land. As a newly elected Supervisor I am truly honored to serve with the KCD team as we expand our program mission to deliver durable conservation solutions to this uniquely diverse and complex urban and rural community,” Jim said, reflecting on his new position.

Jim has previously served on the KCD Advisory Committee and credits the resources and expertise the agency provides with helping him and his wife establish and later expand their own grass fed cattle farm in the Snoqualmie Valley. His vision for KCD going forward is a greater role in implementing regional food policies and contribution to local solutions for healthy cities facing long term climate related issues, things he will work towards during his three year term.

Meanwhile, Jenny Bengeult, design manager at Momentum, a national plan-design-build firm, has joined the Washington State University School of Design and Construction's Interior Design Advisory Board.

She will play a vital role in providing guidance and support for WSU’s world-class Interior Design program.

A Washington State University (WSU) graduate herself, Jenny will be bringing nearly ten years of interior design experience in the retail financial branch and corporate headquarters design to this Advisory Board position. She will help serve as a sounding board for new programs and curriculum as well as facilitate fundraising and development activities that will ensure WSU remains on the cutting edge of Interior Design education.

As the LEED AP accredited and NCIDQ certified Design Manager at Momentum, Jenny leverages her skills and experience to help create innovative and sustainable buildings that reflect the attitude and aspirations of the organizations they house.
