TAMPA –Tom Walker, president and CEO of the CUSO Members Trust Co., has announced his plans to retire effective Dec. 31, 2019. Walker has served as president and CEO since the company’s inception in 1987.

"There is no better opportunity for credit unions to fulfill their mission of ‘people helping people’ than by offering trust and investment services tailored to meet their members’ needs.”

"During his service as CEO, the company has grown to nearly $3 billion in trust and investment assets under management. The success reflects his inspiration, his innovation, and his commitment to the members of America’s credit unions.”
According to the company’s CEO succession plan, the board of directors has commenced a review of two internal candidates, both of whom are qualified for the CEO position and have served as senior executives at the company for more than 10 years, according to Members Trust. The interview process is expected to be completed and a decision made by the end of February 2019.
In a statement, Walker, the board and the two internal candidates for the CEO position expressed pride in what they have achieved together, noting "they are united in the belief that Members Trust Company’s best days lie ahead. All are excited about the future, confident that they have the team, the vision, and the resources to deliver on the company’s mission and that they will not miss a beat in the transition to the next CEO."
Members Trust Company is owned by credit unions with a combined more than $180 billion in assets.
