KENT, Wash. –Member Access Processing (MAP), an aggregator of the Visa Debit Processing Service platform for credit unions, has announced the formation of Payments Consultancy, a team of payment consulting firms that will develop strategies and products to help credit unions deliver better credit card services to their members, the company said.

According to the cmopany, the Payments Consultancy offerings will include support for vendor review and RFP services, contract negotiations, back office and operational issues, lending and collections performance, and strategy and growth services. However, the most attractive part of the offering may be the fact that these third-party agencies will be able to provide objective guidance at potentially lower prices compared to the leading credit union consultants, the company said, adding the new partnership will allow credit unions to receive tailored guidance at the same, if not higher, level of quality as large competitors.
