Maui County FCU Breaks Ground on New NewGround-Designed Facility

WAILUKU, Maui–Maui County FCU has broken ground on a new headquarters. The project is being overseen by Chesterfield, Mo.-based design/build firm NewGround.

Providing site selection assistance, due diligence investigation, and construction management services, NewGround said it will help bring Maui County FCU’s new 26,183-square-foot headquarters building to life.

Being developed on two acres of land, the facility will include a branch with a two-lane drive-thru, a covered outdoor lanai off the staff break room, a large meeting space that can serve as a community room, and a fitness center. The new headquarters building was designed by EHA, NewGround’s Honolulu-based design partner.

With previous extensive design and build work with credit unions in Hawaii, NewGround said it will work with local consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to complete the project and better serve the community- based credit union.

“We are thrilled to finally break ground on Maui County FCU’s new headquarters, and we can’t wait to bring their vision to life,” said Kevin Blair, President and CEO at NewGround. “Our next-generation headquarters expertise will allow our team to deliver this stunning facility, helping Maui County FCU better serve their members for years to come.”

Maui County FCU’s new headquarters building is anticipated to be complete by mid-2022.
