MILWAUKEE –La Macchia Group announced has the completion of several building projects on behalf of credit unions.
The company completed a new operations center for Bayer Heritage FCU in New Martinsville, W.Va., a branch remodel of Vibe Credit Union in Waterford, Mich., and a branch remodel of and addition to Kohler Credit Union’s Sheboygan, Wis., location.
According to La Macchia Group, Bayer Heritage’s new operations center is 30,765-square-feet and was designed and built to be a “place to gather, collaborate, network, and grow.”
The operations center is home to roughly 70 employees who are responsible for the credit union’s business operations, the company said, adding it features a lobby adorned with floor-to-ceiling windows, digital displays, a “living wall” of natural moss and wood and two integrated teller machines.
“Bayer Heritage Federal Credit Union’s new operations center is the latest project in a long-time partnership between the credit union and La Macchia Group,” said Brian Midock, senior project manager at La Macchia Group. “This new operations center provides an atmosphere that fosters teamwork and community and will drive new business and employee recruitment.”
‘Transformation’ Project
La Macchia Group said it also completed the transformation of Vibe Credit Union’s 19,147-square-foot branch in Waterford, Mich. turning it into an operations center designed to support the credit union’s growth for “years to come.”
According to the company, the new operations center features an open floor plan with multiple spaces dedicated to collaboration and relationship building with colleagues and members alike.
“Vibe Credit Union’s revitalized operations center will continue to serve as a positive connection to the community, through its strong brand presence and dedication to its membership, said Margaret Nedow, interior designer at La Macchia Group. “It reinforces the credit union’s mission to value every relationship and provide amazing service to both their membership and employees.”
A Branch Remodel
La Macchia Group said it also continued its longstanding relationship with Kohler Credit Union with a 6,050-square-foot branch remodel and addition to the credit union’s Sheboygan, location.

Three new branches, a corporate center, three real estate projects, and two studies with Kohler Credit Union,” said Ben La Macchia, senior vice president of La Macchia Group. “Kohler Credit Union is one of the largest credit unions in the southeastern Wisconsin area, and we are proud to play a role in their continued growth.”
