Keesler FCU Breaks Ground on NewGround-Led Facility
PETAL, Miss.–Keesler FCU here has broken ground on a new branch. The project is being led by NewGround, a St. Louis-based experiential design-build firm. Attendance at the groundbreaking ceremony included representatives from Keesler Federal Credit Union, members of the Board of Directors and staff from NewGround.
The branch will be located at 1119 Evelyn Gandy Parkway and is expected to be completed in December.
According to NewGround, the space has been thoughtfully designed and when complete, the new 3,397 square foot branch will include an entry feature, retail lobby and an attached four lane drive-up canopy with a drive-up ATM and after-hours depository. Features will include four offices, a conference room, Safety Deposit Room, and a retail interior lobby that hosts a Tech Bar, interactive Kid’s area and a four-position cash bar with two recyclers. Exterior features include brick veneer, cast stone, standing seam metal roof and hurricane glass.
“We are honored that the Keesler Federal Credit Union entrusted NewGround as their design- build partner on another branch project. This new innovative branch will reflect not only the credit union’s dedication to the community of Petal, but their commitment to expanding their network. Earlier in the year, we broke ground on their new experiential branch in Wiggins, Miss.,” said NewGround CEO Kevin Blair.
