BOISE, Idaho–HomeCU, LLC has announced its new board, as well as a new relationship with Symitar.
The company said that existing board members have elected two new candidates for board seats and one new candidate as an associate board member.
Kevin D. Unger, new board member, is employed as the COO of Discovery FCU, located in Wyomissing, Penn. Kevin has more than 25 years of experience and offers a depth of knowledge from serving in a variety of roles, ranging from teller to COO, throughout his credit union career. Kevin has been a HomeCU user/client since 1999.
Richard Schulz, new board member, is the President and CEO of New South Credit Union located in Knoxville, Tenn. Prior to joining New South in 2000, he served as Vice President of another Knoxville-based credit union. Collectively, Richard has served in the credit union industry for over 24 years.
Helen Edwards, new associate board member, is the President and CEO of Norristown Bell Credit Union (PA). She was elected President in January 1996, and is a 20-year veteran of Credit Unions. Helen previously worked for an additional 18 years in local, regional and international banking in diversified executive capacities.
They join the following HomeCU LLC Board members Jeff Shaw of Wasatch Peaks Credit Union; Dan Kester of Sooper Credit Union; and Jack Creager of American United Federal Credit Union.
Separately, Home CU LLC announced that it has established a preferred relationship with Symitar to provide home banking, mobile banking, eStatements and web design for CruiseNet credit unions.
Through this relationship, HomeCU’s desktop home banking and mobile banking apps are integrated with Symitar’s CruiseNet core processing system. This integration provides credit unions the convenience, compatibility and security they need in the mobile market, the company said.
“It has become vital that credit unions offer their members multiple access channels to their accounts. The direct integration of CruiseNet and HomeCU’s desktop and mobile banking meets the credit unions’ needs for this. Additionally, through HomeCU’s desktop and mobile banking, the credit union gains real-time access to their members with marketing pieces, alerts, and notifications,” said Chris Moore, Director of Marketing at HomeCU.
