Foundation Offering ‘Retire on Track’ Materials for Retirement Fairs
MADISON, Wis. – Credit unions can now order “Retire on Track” materials from the National Credit Union Foundation in order to hold a Retirement Fair. The Foundation's REAL Solutions program, in cooperation with CUNA Mutual Group, developed the Retirement Fair and "Retire on Track" to assist credit unions help their members and staff better prepare for retirement.
According to the Foundation, the fair is designed to have people think more carefully about the type of lifestyle they would like to pursue in retirement and then link it to their financial plan. “Retire on Track” is applicable to people of all ages, not just those nearing retirement. It is designed to not only help people adequately save for retirement but it encourages people to plan for all lifestyle aspects of their retirement.
“The Foundation has been piloting the Retirement Fair for the past two years, which builds on the enormous success of Financial Reality Fairs for teens,” said Lois Kitsch, National Program Director at the Foundation. “We are delighted to now offer this interactive program to credit unions to help members think about retirement in a new way.”
The "Retire on Track" Guide & Materials from the Foundation contains electronic files of everything an organization would need to hold a Retirement Fair, including a comprehensive guide, PowerPoint presentations, handouts, posters, webinars, and more. There is also a custom option available for credit unions that want to add their logo to most of the materials, the Foundation said.
