BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – EPL, Inc., a provider of software solutions and services provider,  announced five credit unions have signed agreements to convert to its open core solution, i-POWER.

Converting to the solution are the $9.4-million Concord FCU, the $446-million Queens Cluster FCU, the $90,000 St. Augustine Presbyterian FCU, the $118-million Cooperative Center FCU, and the $3-million 1stBergen FCU. All have made the move or will do so by 2019.

“The financial services industry is quickly evolving, and we needed a dynamic core platform that provides robust functionality backed by convenient, secure service to best serve our growing member base,” said Fadhila Holman, CEO at Cooperative Center. “i-POWER not only was a cost-effective solution, but also provided a high level of flexibility – enabling us to customize the technology to meet our needs and achieve specific business goals.”

EPL said i-POWER’s open-architecture design enables seamless software customization and module integration, ensuring credit unions have the flexibility to incorporate technologies that best suit their specific business and growth needs.

“i-POWER is an excellent fit for Queens Cluster, as it is helping us become more efficient, streamline operations and enhance our services offering,” explained Gerald Goldenbroit, CEO at Queens Cluster. “Additionally, the centralized, secure server on which data is stored ensures our members’ financial information will be protected from cybersecurity threats of the digital age.”

EPL said its core platform also supports and measures the impact of credit union products and services that build members’ financial security. By aggregating the accounting, compliance and processing functions, i-POWER also achieves efficiencies that allow credit unions to invest more in their members and communities.

“We look forward to helping drive growth and providing unparalleled service for our new core customers,” said Robin Kolvek, CEO at EPL. “EPL, along with its partners at Dedgroup, Intech, Juniper Payments, and the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions, has invested heavily in creating a robust platform with enhanced functionality that is a game changer for credit unions of all sizes.”
