GREENSBORO, N.C. –First Carolina Corporate Credit Union held its annual Financial Conference here the 15th year in a row. The conference was held at the luxury Ballantyne Hotel and Lodge in Charlotte, N.C., and brought in credit union attendees from across the region.
Eleven expert speakers, with backgrounds ranging from university professor to senior officers of financial institutions, provided in-depth education on financial topics. These topics included the rising rate environment, ALM, audits and accounting and more.
“The financial industry changes frequently, so our member credit unions are always looking for additional education and training to keep up with the evolving regulations and financial strategies,” said Fred Eisel, chief investment officer for First Carolina Corporate. “Our Financial Conference continues to be a successful event, even after 15 years, because we give credit unions the information they need to operate effectively, with the added bonus of a retreat-like atmosphere.”
