ATLANTA—Experienced financial executive Mike Doherty has joined balance sheet management CUSO CU Capital Market Solutions after leading the highly successful CU Investment Solutions for more than a decade, the company said.
“I looked at quite a few options regarding my future,” Doherty said. “I feel that with all of CMS’ new products available for the credit union movement, the best opportunity to utilize my skills is to lead the CUSO’s sales division. I enjoyed assisting in building the business at CU Investments and look forward to doing the same on behalf of CMS,” he added.
CMS said it will utilize Doherty’s vast credit union experience and knowledge to develop the industry’s awareness of the CMS Total Solutions balance sheet advisory practice. He will connect CMS consultants, investment specialists and analysts with individual credit unions, as well as state and national trade associations, to share the benefits of CMS’s funding, capital and asset strategies to maximize credit union balance sheet performance.
