PHOENIX–Bluepoint Solutions said Desert Schools Federal Credit Union has selected its ImagePoint Teller capture solution. Capturing check images directly at the teller line will allow the credit union to increase efficiency and convenience for both members and the credit union’s front-line employees, the company said. The $3.7-billion Desert Schools FCU has more than 300,000 members and will add Bluepoint’s ImagePoint Teller to over 440 workstations at its 47 branch locations.
ImagePoint Teller is fully integrated with the credit union’s core and allows tellers to scan check deposits as part of their existing transaction workflow, cutting keystrokes and giving tellers more time to spend with members, Bluepoint Solutions said. Checks are immediately available for item processing and tellers remain in balance throughout the day, eliminating end-of-day bottlenecks and teller overtime.

Separately, Bluepoint Solutions said that Scranton, Penn.-based Penn East Federal Credit Union has selected its document imaging suite, FASTdocs, for enterprise content management (ECM). The upgrade from largely paper-based operations will establish a foundation of modern technology for future growth.
Penn East FCU ($141 million in assets and over 17,000 members) serves the counties of Lackawanna, Luzerne and Wyoming in Northern Pennsylvania. As part of comprehensive evaluation of current technology and practices, the credit union identified paper and paper-related processes as a significant obstacle to member service capabilities.
Bluepoint said Penn East FCU will adopt several components of Bluepoint’s FASTdocs suite, built upon a native member-centric filing structure:
- File Import Studio for electronic import into FASTdocs with no manual intervention
- Batch Scan will facilitate high-volume paper scanning to handle the conversion process
- WebShare for online member document access
- FASTdocs with DocuSign automated import of electronically-signed documents
