MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Corporate Central Credit Union has announced some of the speakers at its upcoming 2019 Economic Outlook Conference. The meeting is scheduled for Oct. 10 at The Ingleside Hotel in Pewaukee, Wis.

The registration deadline is Oct. 3.

Speaker Line-Up
The speaker line-up at the 2019 conference includes:
- Bill Adams, Senior Economist for the PNC Financial Services Group. Adams will present Mind the Step Down: Economic Forecast for 2019. “He will speak on PNC’s forecast for the US economy, the outlook for interest rates and the yield curve, and the impact of tariffs and the trade war on key US trading partners,” Corporate Central said. “Adams is PNC’s principal spokesman on global economic developments and is responsible for PNC’s exchange rate forecasts, which were named most accurate in four of Bloomberg’s quarterly consensus forecast surveys in the last four years. He also contributes to PNC’s analysis and forecasting of the US economy and was recognized jointly with all of PNC’s economists as the most accurate forecasters of US GDP and CPI in 2017 by Consensus Economics.”
- Brian Knight, Executive Vice President & General Counsel at NASCUS. Knight will present From Weed to Weightings: Hot Topics in the Regulatory Realm.“His presentation will survey the hot topics facing the credit union system from cannabis banking to cybersecurity, BSA/AML, and risk-based capital,” Corporate Central said. “With an extensive background in both legislative and regulatory analyses, and a comprehensive knowledge of the state and federal credit union regulatory system, Knight often represents NASCUS speaking at seminars, trade association meetings, and conferences.”
- Mike Schenk, Vice President of Research & Policy Analysis at CUNA. Schenk will present Forget the Fed. Ignore the Forecast.” Schenk’s presentation will focus on the good ol' days, when Fed policy drove consumer behavior and directly determined the course of credit union operations,” said Corporate Central. “Forecasting was easy and planning was fun. In the new economy, however, the Fed is much less relevant, and forecasting is exceedingly difficult. He will focus on the four key forces driving the new economy, and he will discuss implications for credit unions and potential responses.”
- Andy Janning, President/CEO of NO NET Solutions, LLC. Janning will present Heroes, Villains, and Drunk Old Men – Lessons for Surviving Your Ridiculously Crazy Life.“Janning’s presentation will address how people aregoing eleventy-billion miles an hour each day, leading and serving others like a pro while trying to listen well, fight fair, resolve conflicts, build relationships, and be unbelievably awesome,” Corporate Central said. “He will share lessons from a former financial services executive, the most influential storytelling technique ever created, and a motley crew of (formerly) drunk old men.
