MUSKEGO, Wis.—Chris Felton has been named president and CEO of Corporate Central Credit Union.
Felton was named interim CEO when former president Bob Fouch retired at the end of 2015. CCCU’s board said it selected Felton as the permanent president and CEO following an extensive nationwide search.
Felton becomes only the fourth CEO in the corporate’s 35-year history. Felton has been with Corporate Central for more than 21 years, serving as EVP until his appointment as interim CEO.
“On behalf of the entire board of directors we are thrilled to have Chris serve as our CEO,” said board Chairman Kim Sponem. “He lives and breathes the credit union spirit and has clearly demonstrated the vision and leadership we need to best serve our members today and into the future.”
Felton began his credit union career at Corporate Central in 1990 when he was hired as the corporate’s first and only field representative, spending his early years on the road building relationships with credit unions, CCCU explained. After holding various leadership positions, Felton was promoted to EVP in 2012.
“This appointment is a true honor and privilege. Corporate Central Credit Union is a unique and remarkable credit union with an equally remarkable staff and membership—staff who are dedicated to service and a membership that is passionate about ‘their corporate,’” said Felton. “I can’t think of a more rewarding opportunity than to work with a dynamic board of directors and a great team driven to help our members to be wildly successful.”
