CUneXus, MeridianLink In Partnership

SANTA ROSA, Calif.— CUneXus Solutions, a provider of omni-channel, application-free lending technology, has announced a partnership to further integrate MeridianLink’s popular loan origination system, LoansPQ, with the CUneXus cplXpress pre-approved lending automation platform. This connection will provide CUneXus’ bank and credit union clients end-to-end consumer lending automation capabilities at all physical and digital banking touchpoints.

“Combining our cplXpress platform with MeridianLink’s loan origination system makes perfect sense. Our current credit card integration with MeridianLink was developed while completing a custom system integration for a $10 billion California credit union,” said Dave Buerger, co-founder, and CEO of CUneXus. “Once complete, the combined solution proved highly-successful and the benefit of expanding our LoansPQ integration to include all loan types was clear. We knew that these advanced capabilities would be of tremendous value to our clientele, as it expedites the funding process and increases efficiency through the elimination of manual back-office processes.”

Financial Institutions are adopting online lending strategies at a rapid rate—especially in the mobile channel—creating a greater need for connectivity between their online lending platform and their loan origination system. The MeridianLink/CUneXus integration gives financial institutions the ability to underwrite, close, and fund pre-approved loans quickly and efficiently on the back-end, as well as deliver an easy-to-use front-end for consumers.

For example, when a credit union member or bank customer accepts their pre-approved offer within online or mobile banking, the data is automatically and securely transferred to MeridianLink’s loan origination system, LoansPQ. Connectivity between these two systems provides financial institutions with the following benefits:

  • Eliminates the need to re-key loan data, resulting in no keying errors;
  • Transfers data fields directly from cplXpress to LoansPQ, resulting in time savings for lending staff;
  • Increases loan process efficiency, resulting in the ability to provide consumers with a higher quality online borrowing experience;
  • Transfers data in real-time, resulting in a faster, more efficient loan process for the loan officer and a better overall experience for the consumer;
  • Funds the loan automatically and in real-time, regardless of what channel the loan originates from.

“This partnership between CUneXus and MeridianLink is another example of how we are responding to the mobile lending transformation in the financial services industry,” said Tim Nguyen, CTO, MeridianLink. “This integration is evidence of how our organizations are thinking about consumers’ use of technology in virtually every phase of their lives.”

Separately,CUneXus announced the appointment of Financial Technology industry veteran Tony Salamone to the position of Vice President of Client Services.

“I am delighted to be joining CUneXus at this exciting point for the company,” said Tony. “CUneXus is shaking up the financial services world with products that help lenders expand their product lines and delight their customers.”

Tony is a 30-year veteran of the financial services industry, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of US Payments Product Management at Fundtech/D+H. Focused on customer experience, he established systems to build client feedback into the product development process. Prior to Fundtech, Tony spent 10 years as Vice President of Product Management for the Client Access division at JP Morgan Chase. He also represented financial institutions on the Federal Reserve Bank Advisory Board for new regulations.

The appointment comes as CUneXus responds to the rapid acceptance of its cplXpress platform that allows banks and credit unions to offer pre-approved “click-to-accept” loans to customers where and when they need them. With cplXpress, lenders can create and deliver custom loan offers based on the location, behavior, and credit profile of each user as well as their own lending criteria.

“Tony is a champion of the customer,” says CUneXus co-founder and CEO Dave Buerger. “His expertise in user experience will ensure that the voice and needs of the customer remain a core component in all that we do.”

The company has also announced partnerships with leading financial services firms Digital Insight and Harland Clarke, mobile technology pioneer MobileRQ, and automotive shopping giant Edmunds.com.
