CUES' Releases Compensation Survey Results

MADISON, Wis.— The base salary, base salary plus bonus, and total compensation packages paid by credit unions increased during 2021 across 18 of 19 positions reported in the new 2022 CUES Compensation Survey.

Median total compensation increased by up to 14.9%, according to CUES.

Not surprisingly, CUES reported it found a credit union’s asset size was the leading influencer on compensation levels.

For CEOs, the top four factors leading CEO bonuses were earnings, board evaluation, loan growth, and membership growth.

CUES said its Compensation Survey features valuable compensation trends, tools and data to help credit unions attract and retain well-qualified professionals, while its Salary Survey offers “pertinent data to attract new hires, and valuable tools to ensure credit unions retain their top employees.”
