MADISON, Wis.—CUES has announced its 2018 Outstanding Chief Executive Award winner and CUES Hall of Fame inductees, and further announced the judges of its 2018 CUES Next Top Credit Union Exec competition.
The 2018 CUES Outstanding Chief Executive Award winner is Joe Newberry, president/CEO of Redstone Federal Credit Union in Huntsville, Ala. CUES said its Outstanding Chief Executive award recognizes leaders at the CEO level who display professional achievement, support employee motivation, and are dedicated to their community.
Hall of Fame Inductees
In addition, the following executives will be inducted into the CUES Hall of Fame:
- Marty Komsa, executive advisor/Strategic Planning of Windsor Family Credit Union, Windsor, Ontario
- Eileen Rivera, president & CEO of SkyOne Federal Credit Union in Hawthorne, Calif.
- Cathie Tierney, president/CEO & Treasurer of Community First Credit Union in Appleton, Wis.
CUES said its Hall of Fame recognizes a lifetime of achievement and dedication to the credit union movement.
“These extraordinary leaders were chosen by CUES’ board of directors for their contributions to their profession and the industry; involvement in community service; and education and history of self-improvement,” CUES said.
All will be honored at CUES CEO/Executive Team Network, Nov. 5-7, 2018 in Nashville.
Judges Announced
Separately, CUES announced the judges for the 2018 CUES Next Top Credit Union Exec competition: Deedee Myers, CEO of DDJ Myers, challenge sponsor and Silver CUESolutions provider for their succession planning, David Tuyo II, president/CEO of University Credit Union in Los Angeles; and Eric Dillon, CEO of Conexus Credit Union in Regina, Sask.
