CUES Adds New Resource for HR Professionals

MADISON, Wis.— CUES has announced that human resource leaders now have the opportunity to learn to take on and optimize data as part of the Human Resources Analytics Certificate Program, which it has developed in partnership with Cornell University.

The program guides attendees on ways to source, analyze, and visualize HR data to inform decisions and recommendations on hiring top talent, engaging their workforce, managing retention, and evaluating workforce diversity, according to CUES.

In addition, students will discover how to apply a cost-based approach to determine business impact and ROI associated with HR initiatives, CUES said.

The organization said students will learn:

  • Essentials of HR Analytics
  • Strategic Talent Analytics
  • Applied Predictive Analytics in HR
  • Valuing HR Initiatives

Four Courses

CUES reported the program is made up of four self-paced courses, which happen over a two-month period. These are interspersed with two live online sessions, where attendees learn directly from John Hausknecht, professor of Human Resource Studies at Cornell.

“The combination of self-paced and live-taught lessons not only help alleviate Zoom fatigue, but will also supplement and connect all the courses in this series, highlighting the applications to the credit union system and each attendees’ role at their organization,” CUES stated.

All content and activities are customized specifically for the unique challenges and opportunities of credit unions, according to CUES. Participants who complete all portions of the course will earn an executive certificate from CUES and Cornell University, 18 SHRM credits and 3.2 CEUs.

‘Powerful Tools’

“HR analytics are powerful tools which sometimes remain underutilized,” said Christopher Stevenson, CAE, CIE, CUES SVP/chief learning officer. “Learning to use them to their fullest extent can help fine-tune evaluative, presentation, and communication skills, using critical thinking in combination with analytical best practices. Participants will leave with the skills needed to build their credit union’s HR analytics capabilities and acumen.”

The Human Resources Analytics Certificate Program runs Aug. 17-Oct. 19.
