GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.–CU*Answers has published a report highlighting the details of a “litigation hold tabletop exercise” conducted earlier involving multiple teams from across the organization.
The purpose in publishing the report is twofold: to provide vendor due diligence information to the more than 250 credit unions currently using the core processor's CU*BASE® platform, as well as information to assist credit unions in performing their own tabletop exercise, the company said.
The report is available for review on the CU*Answers website.
“A tabletop exercise is a valuable tool to help increase awareness of the process and validate the procedures contained within the Litigation Hold Response Plan," said Marilyn Boyd, CU*Answers, certified records administrator. "Perhaps most important is the enhanced clarity of the roles and responsibilities and team building effect achieved as a result of the exercise." Whether testing your organization’s plan for incident response, business continuity, or a litigation hold scenario, the goal of continual improvement is the same, according to CU*Answers.
CU*Answers said it offers educational webinars and professional consulting services to assist credit unions in the design and implementation of a Records and Information Management program. Additional information is available on the CU*Answers website.
