CU Answers Network Services Opens New Office, Retail Center

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.–CU*Answers Network Services announced the opening of a new office and retail center located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. With more than 8,000 square feet, the center significantly expands the ability of the Network Services division to serve clients, and positions the department for future growth, the company said.

The new center features a state-of-the-art lab for building, provisioning, and testing client equipment that is twice the size and capacity of previous labs. Inventory space is quadrupled with improved materials handling infrastructure, and office space was doubled.

“This move was necessary to meet client capacity demands and improve our ability to serve clients in a timely fashion,” said Matt Sawtell, AVP of Managed Technology Services. “We build equipment customized to client requirements and the lab space is key to optimizing our capacity and effectiveness.”

CU*Answers said the new location also features an innovative meeting space for client demos, client training and education events, and executive-level meetings. The space can be reconfigured as necessary to support any number of event configurations and features a completely wireless environment.

“In 2015 there’s really no reason we should have to fight cords and cables,” said David Wordhouse, VP Network Technologies. “So we designed this space to be cord free. We use WiFi, wireless display technologies, and power bank technologies for mobile devices, to keep spaces open, clean, safe, and flexible.”
