CU*Answers Calls For Entries Into 9th Annual Video Contest

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.–CU*Answers has announced its 9th Annual Video Contest to clients of the cuasterisk.com network. Each year CU*Answers offers cash awards and the chance for entries to be professionally produced into a video that can be used by any credit union for advertising.

The theme for this year is “Online Retailing 2.0 – Redefining Everything Credit Union.” The contest is asking credit unions how they would rebuild the industry from the ground up if tomorrow there were no credit unions. “How would the reality of branches, board members and owners change to speak to today?”

The three contests include one for the best video idea, another for the best idea for a 30-second spot, and the last is for submitting a completed video related to the chosen theme. Winners will be announced at the CU*Answers Annual Leadership Conference in June where the winning entries will premiere on the big screen.

Completed videos, past winners, as well as a collection of videos CU*Answers has produced for credit unions to use on their website, lobby monitors, and some suited for television broadcast, can be viewed at www.cuatv.com.

Separately, CU*Answers celebrated the 50th edition of its “Tricks of the Trade” publication in January. This month’s publication featured resources to assist clients with learning more about the new It’s Me 247 Bill Pay (Payveris) solution CU*Answers is currently implementing at credit unions in its network.

CU*Answers also announced that it is celebrating the 25th Tricks of the Trade webinar this month. About one-fifth of CU*Answers’ clients attend the monthly webinar which features the ‘top five picks’ included in the monthly publication.

Alycia Meyers, technical writer, attributes the success of the Tricks of the Trade to the fact that its goal is always to make their clients’ jobs easier. “There is such a wealth of documentation resources that CU*Answers offers to clients,” Meyers said. “Featuring highlights of five top picks each month keeps them informed but also makes things manageable.”
