COOPER CITY, Fla.– BrightStar Credit Union has announced plans to partner to build a new 70,316-square-foot main office here, as well as a 4,386-square-foot branch in Lauderhill, Fla. DEI is the design/build firm.
After an extensive land search, BrightStar said the new main office will allow it to stay close to its Broward County members while providing their staff “with a world class work area. The first corporate headquarters in Cooper City, this location combines all functions and staff into one building.”
BrightStar said the facility will offer amenities such as a training room, staff engagement/break areas, a workout area and related locker room, cafeteria and outdoor seating that can be used for breaks or events.
“The extensive windows allow a wonderful level of natural light – providing everyone access to the sun somewhere within their day,” BrightStar said. “It is a youthful and energetic design that provides amenities to support a modern office lifestyle.”
Added DEI’s interior designer, Jared Powell, “We are looking to create a visual experience that promotes the brand and a high level of design.”
Meanwhile, the new Lauderhill, Fla. branch will have a unique Caribbean look based on the city of Lauderhill’s design guidelines. In a high-trafficked area, this brightly colored building will be located not far from the original headquarters, the credit union said.
