OVERLAND PARK, Kan.– MEMBERS Development Co. has announced that the $6.1-billion Bethpage Federal Credit Union has become its 41st credit union owner and has invested in MDC Class A ownership shares.
“We’re thrilled to have Bethpage onboard,” said Jeff Kline, MDC’s Chief Executive Officer. “Not only does the credit yion add to our collective strength and capabilities, but it confirms the value of MDC’s collaborative model and mission.”
According to Wayne Grossè, Bethpage FCU’s President/CEO, the Credit Union joined MDC based on its expertise, word-of-mouth recommendation and personal experience with management. The Credit Union made its final decision after attending MDC’s August Owner Meeting as a guest.
“We were impressed with the professionalism of the MDC staff, and the quality and relevance of their research,” said Grossè. “We look forward to working collaboratively with MDC’s owner credit unions, which have demonstrated a proven track record of innovation.”
