ALEXANDRIA, Va.-– Bacino & Associates is marketing its fifth anniversary of managing the Association of Credit Union Internal Auditors (ACUIA), as well as reporting a 268% growth in net income over a five-year period, as the association prepares to celebrate their 25th anniversary conference this June.
“We’ve come a long ways during the past five years”, commented Geoff Bacino, CEO of Bacino & Associates. “When we were retained to manage this great association they were in pretty dire straits. At the time I wasn’t sure we’d make it to the 25th anniversary.”
To turn the organization around Bacino said he and his team implemented a number of key new fiscal policies along with bolstering conference attendance, in part, by drawing on his substantial network of nationally recognized CU leaders within the movement to be keynote speakers at the annual conference. In the past three years net income has grown in triple digit percentages, membership in double digits and revenue jumped almost 50%. “Internal Auditors play a vital role in the safety and soundness of credit unions,” said Bacino. “As a former regulator I understand and appreciate their part on the front lines of ensuring continual fiscal safety and compliance. It was imperative to me that the ACUIA continued to flourish as the only professional CU trade group dedicated to serve the CU internal audit profession.”
