JOHNSON CITY, Tenn.–Banc Intranets, a provider of secure, web-based enterprise content management solutions, said that Oxford, Ala.-based AOD FCU has selected its BancWorks employee intranet to maximize access to internal information and improve the member experience across its branch network.
“The biggest reason we were looking for an intranet was to have a central depository for all of the information that we distribute throughout the organization,” said David Plohkooy, Chief Information Officer of AOD FCU, in a statement. “Previously, we were using shared drives to store policies, documents and procedures, but that eventually wasn’t providing the level of efficiency necessary to continue providing the highest level of service to our members.”
AOD FCU said it chose BancWorks for its ease-of-use, hands-off maintenance and wide range of capabilities that were not available in other providers’ technologies. For employees, Plohkooy said BancWorks’ primary benefits are that it provides a branded landing page that serves as a single point of access, allows single sign-on functionality through Active Directory integration and provides a common platform to store commonly-used information and eliminates duplicate and outdated forms.
