DALLAS—Harry Kraemer, Jr., professor of management and strategy at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and executive partner with Madison Dearborn Partners (MDP), will be the keynote speaker for ALM First’s 2023 Financial Forum, set for Sept. 24-27 at The Ritz-Carlton, Bacara in Santa Barbara, Calif.
In addition to his experiences teaching and serving as a partner in one of the largest private equity firms in the United States, Kraemer is the former chairman and CEO of Baxter International Inc., the multi-billion-dollar global healthcare company.
He was voted by the students at Kellogg as the Professor of the Year in 2008 and was a finalist for the award in 2014.
Change Management
During his keynote session “Change is Constant: Building a World-Class Organization,” Kraemer will share insights on change management and leadership, according to ALM First.
“We’re excited to announce Harry Kraemer, Jr.’s keynote session, which will help attendees better prepare to drive their institutions forward in 2024 and beyond,” said Emily Hollis, CEO of ALM First. “As a trusted partner for financial depositories, we’re always searching for ways to assist our clients and bring them world-class insights.”
The company said financial institution executives and board members attending the annual three-day conference will gather insights, formulate strategies, and gain new perspectives as they prepare for the coming year.
A ‘Must-Attend’
“With two separate education tracks led by a variety of industry experts and numerous networking events, the 2023 ALM First Financial Forum is a must-attend event for everyone involved in managing or monitoring the balance sheet including executives, senior leadership, treasury staff, ALCO and board members,” ALM First said.
Online registration is now open, with early-bird pricing available through Aug. 18.
During the event, ALM First said its management team and Tony Ferris, CEO of Rochdale Paragon Group, will lead educational presentations and discussions. Sessions will cover a wide range of topics including asset liability management, interest rate risk, enterprise risk management, governance, and more.
Attendees may earn up to 13.5 CPE credits.
