PAYNESVILLE, Liberia--The "In God We Trust" Multi-Purpose Credit Union (IGWMPCU) here has introduced a number of new products that it said are designed to “uplift its members and improve their livelihood.”
One of the products debuting is targeting at “poverty-stricken parents” with a school savings account that will in turn be used to fund payment of student-related fees.
Other new services, according to IGWMPCU, include holiday savings account and a home ownership and development savings account.
“These products seek to educate children and parents on how to prepare for the successful life journey,” the credit union’s president told members at a meeting, adding that a person’s independence begins when he or she begins to plan their lives.
