WESTMEATH, Ireland.—Mullligar Credit Union participating as a local organizer in “The CU Factor,” a play on television’s “The X Factor,” with a talent competition open to students ages 12-19 who can sing, dance, play music, or comedy act.
The Westmeath Examiner reported that the Youth Affairs Committee of Mullingar Credit Union is organizing the effort. Conor Quinn, a former finalist in the voice of Ireland, is one of the judges, along with Angela Lynch, musical director of Mullingar Arts Centre. Taking place at the Mullingar Arts Centre, there is a first prize of €300, a second prize of €200, and a third prize of €100.
The top two acts from the local stage will then go forward to a regional credit union final in Ballinasloe, with a national CU Factor final in Drogheda.
