TAMPA, Fla.—Trellance has made two important acquisitions in the last six months that President and CEO Tom Davis says now allow the
CUSO to deliver even more comprehensive support to credit unions.
“It's basically the concept of being there for credit unions for the whole data analytics journey—from start to finish,” said Davis.
In February 2019, the company acquired the data analytics CUSO OnApproach. In 2018, it bought IronSafe, a software and data analytics firm.
“IronSafe built a really great product that allows credit unions to basically get data out of systems that they normally couldn't get data out of,” explained Davis. “So, if you can print a report for any system, we can take that data and turn that into a SQL table or Excel spreadsheet. We can pump that into either data visualization tools or a data warehouse.”
Fully Functional Platform
Davis said the IronSafe acquisition was a precursor to the OnApproach deal, which brought the M360 platform to Trellance. The M360 analytics data model solution allows credit unions to integrate all their data into a single source.
“This allows us to deliver a fully functional data analytics platform on par with the big banks to credit unions,” said Davis. “We have combined the ability to get the data out of the system with the IronSafe acquisition with the ability to deliver a data warehouse. We now offer a top-to-bottom solution where we can get data out of almost any system, get it into a data warehouse and provide credit unions with the options of managing their data in-house with their data team, working with our data team at Trellance, or using our self-service model,” continued Davis.
Never-Ending Journey
Davis emphasized credit unions are always on a journey with their data analytics efforts. He said CUs can never expect to simply install a data analytics platform, become effective at using it and never make changes to it again.
“The credit union matures, the industry matures, things are constantly changing. So, what we're trying to do at Trellance is provide products and services along every step of the journey for a credit union—so they are serving their members with the latest capabilities as their needs change and the industry matures.”
