iQ Credit Union Names New CEO

Kelly Schrader

VANCOUVER, Wash.—Kelly Schrader has been named CEO of iQ Credit Union here.

She assumes her role June 1.

Schrader succeeds Roger Michaelis, who will retire from iQ in June after 31 years with the organization. The CU said Michaelis delayed retirement for two years to complete the credit union’s merger with Lacamas Community CU.

“I can think of no one better to lead iQ Credit Union into the future”, said Michaelis.

Schrader joins the $860-million CU after serving as SVP/chief operations and risk officer at OnPoint Community Credit Union in Portland. Ore. She has 26 years of credit union experience.

“iQ Credit Union is working diligently to continually strive to make members’ lives more manageable and give them the tools to improve their financial well-being,” Schrader said. “As iQ’s new CEO, I’m passionate about continuing that forward progress as well as ensuring the safety and security members have come to expect. It’s an incredibly unique opportunity to lead a credit union that has had solid growth and performance and is ready for its next chapter of the lasting legacy it is creating.”

“We believe that Kelly Schrader is the right person to continue the growth and progress that the credit union has experienced under Roger’s leadership. She will continue to guide innovation to enhance service, safety and convenience,” said Dr. Jim Sork, iQ board chairman.
