LIBERTY LAKE, Wash.–CU*Northwest, a CUSO that provides technology solutions, has named Larry Hayes as its new president/CEO, effective Oct. 18, 2021. Hayes is currently the president of eCU Technology.
The CUSO said Hayes brings more than 20 years of credit union experience to the core data processor.
“When I looked at CU*NorthWest, I saw an organization with an excellent track record and an engaged client base that wants to work towards joint success,” said Hayes. “I’m eager to get started and to inspire our owners and clients to continue building on the opportunities cooperatives create.”
According to the company, as President of eCU Technology, Hayes led the organization in providing account opening and loan application solutions for credit unions. Prior to that, he served as chief operations officer of Georgia Credit Union Affiliates and president/CEO of CU Holding Company, LLC.
“Larry’s experience in running CUSOs and for-profit businesses on behalf of credit unions made him a very attractive candidate for the position,” said Chuck Papenfus, CU*NorthWest board chair and CEO of Inland Valley FCU. “More than that though, he understands and deeply respects the cooperative nature of our organization, and the way success comes from developing close relationships with the credit unions we serve.”
Just Ahead of Leadership Conference
CU*NorthWest noted Hayes will be joining it just before the CUSO’s Leadership Conference Oct. 24-25.
“It will be a great opportunity to meet the credit unions and people I work for,” Hayes said. “The conference will give us a chance to introduce ourselves, but then put our heads down and focus on the work ahead of us, generating the kind of excitement that only comes from creating something great with your peers.”
CU*NorthWest was founded in 2005 as a part of the cuasterisk.com network of CUs and CUSOs.
