SEOUL, South Korea—Samsung intends to release its foldable smartphone in the third quarter of 2017, according to a new report.
As CUToday.info reported last year, Samsung had intended to test the phone for market appeal early in 2017. The Korea Herald reported that Samsung is now preparing to release more than 100,000 units of the device in Q3. Just like a wallet, consumers will be able to fold their smartphones and stuff them in their pockets.
Reports indicate that Samsung’s new phone will not only collapse for easy storage, but when unfolded the panels can be used as a seven-inch tablet.
