World Council Inviting CU Leaders on Tour of Brazil’s Sicredi

MADISON, Wis.–The World Council of Credit Unions and the Worldwide Foundation is inviting CU leaders to participate in a study of the Brazilian credit union system, Sicredi, from March 29 – April 3, 2020.

WOCCU said the trip will offer the opportunity to gain lessons for a sustainable model for credit union collaborative systems from Brazil’s CUs, which excel in branding, financial performance and member service.

“Sicredi is one of the fastest growing systems today,” WOCC said. “Explore futurist implications for our global system.”

Sicredi has created a network of 116 credit unions serving four million members with 1,575 points of service under a common brand and through common operating systems, WOCCU said.

“This engagement study will allow CEO- and senior-level credit union professionals to take a deep-dive into this innovative system and explore lessons learned in compliance, marketing and the overall Sicredi business model,” the World Council added.

The trip features four days of interaction with Sicredi both at its Porto Alegre headquarters and at two other regional offices in the area. Click here for the Brazil Daily Schedule.

Registration is $1978 per person.
