Woman Sentenced For Stealing $63,000 From Credit Union

LEWISTON, Idaho—A Clarkston woman has been sentenced to probation and withheld judgment after taking more than $63,000 from Idaho Central Credit Union.

Macey L. Wymore, 32, was sentenced for felony grand theft by 2nd District Judge Michelle Evans at the Nez Perce County Courthouse. Wymore was given a withheld judgment, which means if she completes her sentence the case can be dismissed, the Lewiston Tribune reported.

Wymore was sentenced to seven years of probation and 30 days of discretionary jail time that can be ordered by probation. She was given two days credit for time served and ordered to pay $245.50 in fees, the Lewiston Tribune said.

Wymore pleaded guilty in October as part of a mediated plea agreement and will pay $63,400 to Idaho Central Credit Union, according to court documents. Wymore was charged in June for taking $63,400 from the credit union in multiple incidents while she was employed there, the Lewiston Tribune reported.

As CUToday.info reported, according to court documents, multiple audits revealed shortages of cash from the vault and electronic devices that handle cash at the credit union, with ICCU reporting its own internal investigation included a review of surveillance footage and logs from the vault and machines.

Big Country News cited court documents that indicate video evidence show Wymore can allegedly be seen “pocketing cash on multiple occasions.”

What Investigation Allegedly Revealed

ICCU's investigation shows she allegedly had stolen over $63,000 between Dec. 7, 2023 and June 7, 2024, Big Country News reported. Wymore was reportedly terminated in June.

“According to court documents, logs and audits indicated Wymore is suspected of taking nearly $4,000 in early December, $13,400 in February and $26,000 in May,” the report states. “Wymore allegedly took $23,000 on June 4, but later returned the cash when it was discovered to be missing. Wymore is also accused of taking $20,000 on June 7.”

Big Country News reported that Wymore allegedly admitted to police that she took approximately $40,000 to $45,000 from ICCU and that all of the stolen money had been spent.

Account at Another Credit Union

“The investigation into Wymore revealed an account at another credit union, belonging to Wymore, and allegedly shows cash deposits of over $61,000 between November of 2023 and June of 2024,” the report added.
