CHEYENNE, Wyo.–A Wyoming woman has been arrested after she allegedly forged a $985,000 check and attempted to deposit it at a credit union.
According to police, Pamela A. Kubesh, 55, of Lake Tomahawk, Wis., admitted she forged her name on a check for $985,020.00 and then attempted to deposit using a fake name at a branch of WyHy Credit Union.
Police said they were called while the alleged forgery was in process.
Kubesh reportedly told police that there were two other unidentified males that she had received the check from, according to KGAB.
Police said Kubesh admitted to placing a male, only identified as Joseph Cooper, on the checking account as her nephew, when he was not.
Kubesh was arrested and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center for forgery and conspiracy, both felonies.
