WOBURN, Mass.–Woburn Municipal FCU has announced a name change. Effective May 1, the $44-million CU will be known as Common Trust FCU, and also move to the new tagline, “Familiar Faces Invested in You.”
According to the Cooperative CU Association, in a video presented to the annual meeting’s attendees, President/CEO James McCorkle revealed that the new name and the tagline were both chosen to capture “our unchanging core values of being the friendly faces that guide members to financial success. All of their core principles, staff, and services will remain the same after the new name goes into effect.”
The credit union said the re-branding is a part of the credit union’s strategy to best support those living in the city of Woburn as well as the surrounding communities.
‘Long History’
“The new name maintains the organization’s long history as a trustworthy financial partner and will more accurately reflect their mission of being an inclusive and trustworthy financial partner for their members throughout their lifetime,” the CCUA said. “The new name brings with it a new and improved re-designed website that will be easier for members to navigate to find products, services and promotions; as well as being easier to view on mobile devices.”
Once it is launched, the new site will be at www.commontrustfcu.org
