As CUToday.info reported earlier, Hood will appear for the first time as the agency’s chairman during the Senate Banking Committee hearing titled “Oversight of Financial Regulators.”

Joining Hood in testifying will be Comptroller of the Currency Joseph Otting, Vice Chair for Supervision at the Federal Reserve Randal Quarles, and FDIC Chairman Jelena McWilliams.

As CUToday.info also reported earlier, the House Financial Services Committee will hold a hearing today on oversight of financial regulators without any representatives from the regulatory agencies as witnesses.

Instead, testifying today at the hearing on “Guidance, Supervisory Expectations, and the Rule of Law: How do the Banking Agencies Regulate and Supervise Institutions,” will be Margaret Tahyar, a partner with Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP; Patricia McCoy, a professor of Law, Boston College Law School, and Greg Baer, president/CEO of the Bank Policy Institute.
