With Firefighters Losing Their Own Homes In California, CU Collecting Funds To Help

LOS ANGELES–Firefighters First CU is seeking donations to its Fire Family Foundation to provide assistance to the thousands of firefighters battling the ongoing wildfires in California.

More than 50 of the firefighters have lost their own homes this year as the work to help save those of others.

“Firefighters risk their lives every day to protect their community—to protect us, our lives and our property,” the credit union noted. “They are men and women like you and me, yet, they serve every day to ensure that we are safe. They go against the grain—they go in while we get out. Their commitment to helping others is second to none.”

The Fire Family Foundation offers financial help to firefighters and their families in times of need due to disaster, an illness or a death.
