PASADENA, Calif.–With Daylight Savings Time and an hour of lost sleep for many approaching, Wescom Credit Union will once again be partnering with a local coffee chain to offer complimentary coffee and tea.
The credit union is making the free beverages available on Sunday, March 10, to residents of Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties 24 locations of the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of Wescom’s sponsorship of the initiative, which it said is part of its "WescomKindness" campaign.
In addition, participants can win a $500 prize by engaging in a social media contest linked to the event.
The $5.8-billion Wescom said the objective is to foster community spirit and offer a moment of joy amidst the “minor inconvenience of daylight saving time.”
Personal Connection
VP-Marketing Tamar Atamian added the effort helps connect the credit union on a personal level and to demonstrate its commitment to Southern Californians.
The event is set to start as soon as the doors open on March 10th, with Wescom saying it will be providing $48,000 worth of beverages until the allocated funds per café are spent.
